| Open Theatre/DC & Takoma Theatre Arts Project Present A DREAM PLAY by August Strindberg Strindberg's mystic drama about life as illusion: The Daughter of the Vedic God Indra descends to earth and enters the lives dreams and delusions of human beings in order to discover why they suffer. A large cast play, full of surprises and color--at once mystic and comically absurd--evoked in a production fusing Indian and Western performance styles, with live Indian music performed and composed by Shubha Sankaran. Directed by Joe Martin with choreography by Christel Stevens. |
